Pearson Lloyd

PLC Studio is a light-touch work chair by Pearson Lloyd, designed for shared, flexible workplaces where people move between tasks and spaces.

At its core is a simple observation: postural change supports focus. A dynamic tilt mechanism beneath the seat provides controlled, forward and backward movement, letting the body shift naturally. The backrest pivots with the user while maintaining consistent lumbar support, returning to neutral when unoccupied.

The steel frame, solid oak armrests, and oak veneer seat and back can be painted in our complete range of colours. Available fully upholstered, with seat upholstery only, or with a veneered oak seat and back in a natural lacquer or painted finish.

PLC Studio is made in the UK and is designed to comply with EN1335.

 

 

 

 

    Base

    Cast aluminium with polished aluminium or powder coat finish, gas lift mechanism and nylon castors

    Seat

    Moulded foam seat made of a proportion of recycled polymers. The recycled content is recorded and audited by a third party, and the chain of custody is certified to the ISCC Plus standard, allowing full traceability. This approach will help the foam industry transition to a circular economy.

    Upholstery

    Upholstered in a wide range of fabrics.

    PLC Studio has been designed for diassembly and has been developed with a removable cover that negates the need for glue, avoiding the creation of waste and pollution. As the outer cover becomes worn, rather than replacing the whole chair, it can be easily and resourcefully refurbished with a new cover, keeping products and materials in use. 

    The PLC Studio is upholstered in our Somerset factory using 100% renewable energy and is available with FSC certification on request.

    Indoor Advantage Gold certified. This product meets the VOC emission limits of ANSI/BIFMA e3 2019 7.6.1, 7.6.2, and 7.6.3
