Swedish Design Awards 2006
Modus were pleased to reach the finals in the prestigious Swedish Design Awards for the KUBRICK table by Claesson Koivisto Rune. The table will now feature as part of a permanent exhibition which will be shown in various locations worldwide.
Kubrick is a mono material coffee table which doubles as a magazine rack, produced from acrylic capped ABS. The table is vacuum formed from a single sheet of material with the magazine compartments becoming the legs below the table. Its strength and rigidity made possible by the down turned edge of the table, resulting in both a unique shape and an economical product.
