Ed Carpenter
Ed originally trained as a sculptor at Kingston University before starting work as a designer. Following a successful two years of design projects including furniture and several interior design commissions Ed went on to study at The Royal College of Art, under the Professorship of Ron Arad.
After graduating from the RCA in 2001 Ed started working for furniture manufacturer and retailer SCP where he met Thorsten Van Elten with whom Ed went on to develop and produce his widely acclaimed 'Pigeon Light' which is now available throughout the world.
Ed now works from his studio in East London on various design led projects both on his own and collaboratively as 'Shift' a design collective he co-founded with fellow designers Sam Johnson and Chris Jackson in 2003.
