Jamie Oliver’s Barbecoa restaurant will transport over to designjunction in September with a temporary pop-up restaurant designed in collaboration with Modus furniture.
Barbecoa is renowned for its flame inspired cooking, widely praised for the original and smoked flavoured dishes. The menu, specifically created for the show, includes signature favourites such as pit-smoked pulled pork sandwiches, smoked short ribs with chipotle tomato salsa, as well as the fully loaded BLT sandwich with home smoked porchetta and a delicious chicken cobb salad. There will also be a tasty selection of sweet treats including carrot and zucchini cake and red velvet cookies.
Barbecoa’s Executive Chef, Hus Vedat commented “This will be Barbecoa’s first pop-up restaurant and we’re thrilled to be at designjunction in September. The exhibition is renowned for showcasing the very best of design and we hope to offer the very best food.”
As you would expect from a design show, the restaurant interiors will be as impressive as the cuisine. British furniture company Modus will present Noughts and Crosses, a new launch of café tables and stools from acclaimed designer Michael Sodeau, alongside PearsonLloyd’s PLC dining chairs. “It’s a great opportunity to experience Barbecoa’s fantastic food offering, all within a specially designed area” says Jon Powell, co-founder, Modus.
A custom-made stone serving counter provided by In Opera will create a stunning contrast of tones and materials, creating a raw and natural look to the restaurant. The overhead lighting will be provided by another exhibitor at the show, International Studio who will be installing Apollo pendant lights to complement the industrial feel of the interior.
